Danielle is a stunning DK knit, perfect for the cooler Summer months and cosy enough for Winter. All the testers loved this pattern which has instructions for Cardigan, Hat, Headband, Shoes and Booties and suitable for boys and girls!!
My Irish roots have inspired my love of knitting and I have introduced a modern twist to my creations.
Size Guide: The pattern has instructions to fit 16″, 18″, 20″, 22″ and 24″ chest. This is approx ages birth to 3-4 years depending on size of child, best practice is to measure the child prior to starting.
Wool & yarn recommendation…
I often get asked which wool I use and who my yarn supplier is! For this knit I have used Stylecraft Special DK which I selected for its softness, it is very gentle on a baby’s skin. There are over 88 different shades available through LoveCrafts, who are my preferred yarn and wool supplier. I just love this pattern. Double knitting (my favourite) rather than Aran. It was a real pleasure to knit. The pattern is suitable one for less experienced knitters. This was an easy pattern to follow and knit up quickly. It was the first time I have ever finished the neck that way, Usually I knit seven rows and then cast off. I quite like it and will use it again.

Love knitting ‘Danielle’, it looks difficult but it isn’t, lovely balance of cables and good range of sizes. Clear and easy to follow instructions provided for this pattern, knit in double knitting yarn, my favourite. Great pattern!
