Description
A lovely lady contacted me about my designs and the names that inspire them and we got chatting! It transpired she knew Crosshaven in Cork very well. She also knew my father! Like me, spent wonderful summers there back in the 1970’s. I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed chatting to her and the memories she invoked and I decided to name this pattern after her as it all seemed to connect! She really gave me inspiration. Life is like that sometimes, people come into your life out the blue and it is for a reason. We plan to meet up next time I am in Cork and now I am also chatting to her sister Kitty who is also a knitting addict! Small world.
Crosshaven and Cork also have knitting patterns named after them!
My Irish roots have inspired my love of knitting and I have introduced a modern twist to my creations.
Size Guide: The pattern contains instructions to knit dress, beret and shoes to fit 16-18″, 18-20″, 20-22″ chest.

I received an order for a Christmas dress in a larger size. After searching Donna’s patterns, I decided to go with Eileen and add some embellishments to it. I ran into a few problems with the sizing but I managed to implement a couple of my own changes. It is a lovely pattern, however, the skirt is 312 stitches at the beginning for the back and front which makes it very, very wide. If I knit it again, I would cast on less stitches. All in all, I am happy and so is my customer and that is what matters most. I find it very helpful when I am knitting a new pattern of Donna’s that I have not knit before, to refer to the reviews to see what other knitters have to say. Along with the reviews it is nice to be able to look at the finished knit pictures that someone else has done to know you are on the right path. Write those reviews ladies!!!!!
