Kildare

$6.79 $7.94Price range: $6.79 through $7.94

Kildare is a beautiful (and addictive) set containing instructions for a Cardigan and Hat.  With 4 sizes, 16″ – 22″, Kildare will fit approx birth to 3 years. Finished sizes are 19″ – 24″ so with a few adjustments on sleeves and body it should fit an older child.  We have graded Kildare intermediate level but a confident beginner should manage no problem.

Requires one pair size 4mm needles, one pair size 5mm needles and cable needle.  Buttons and optional Pompom.  Quantities are based on using Stylecraft Special Aran.  2 (2:3:3) 100g balls required for Cardigan for respective sizes, 1 x 100g required for Hat.

Finished sizes – 19″ to 24″ so please knit according to build of child, age reference is only a guideline.

Kildare is an Aran Knitting Pattern available to purchase in PDF form for immediate download or to have printed and posted to you for a flat fee of £2.95 – so you’re always best ordering a few patterns together for best value!

Description

Beautiful Cardigan and matching Hat.

Wool & yarn recommendation…

I often get asked which wool I use and who my yarn supplier is!  For this knit I have used Stylecraft Special Aran which I selected for its softness, it is very gentle on a baby’s skin.  There are over 88 different shades available through LoveCrafts, who are my preferred yarn and wool supplier.  (Spend over £25 to get free P&P and sign up their newsletter for 15% off your first order!)… I would also recommend Paintbox Aran for this pattern.
