Description
Letterkenny is the largest and possibly the best known town in Co. Donegal, more so than Donegal town itself. Like most other places, the retail parks outside the town are taking over from the main street itself although I still like to walk through and go into the shops that have been there for years though, sadly, there are very few of them now.
My Irish roots have inspired my love of knitting and I have introduced a modern twist to my creations.
Size Guide: The pattern for a Hat and Jacket and has instructions to fit 16″, 18″, 20″ and 22″ chest and the end product is larger as it is a jacket. This is an Aran knit pattern and will fit 0-3 Year Olds.
Wool & yarn recommendation…
I often get asked which wool I use and who my yarn supplier is! For this knit I have used Stylecraft Special Aran which I selected for its softness, it is very gentle on a baby’s skin. Letterkenny is the first of, not only an Aran pattern which I attempted, but also of one designed by Donna. I was so proud of the result. The pattern was easy to follow(as are all the subsequent patterns I have since bought from Donna ). It inspired me attempt more and I now have the knitting bug!
